Pastor Says Antifa Soaked Worshippers with Urine Balloons in Seattle

Just when you thought the culture war couldn’t get messier—literally—Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park became ground zero for an unusual and unsettling confrontation this past weekend. According to a Fox News video report, Pastor Russell Johnson of Pursuit Northwest Church says that Antifa protesters hurled water balloons filled with urine at a Christian outreach event on Saturday, May 24.
The event, which Johnson described as offering free groceries, haircuts, and prayer—not an anti-LGBTQ+ rally as he claims it was portrayed—was reportedly met with resistance from “hundreds” of masked individuals. Johnson said the Christians were “assaulted for the high crime of worshipping Jesus in a public place,” adding that “good people were injured.”
Fox News footage includes interviews with protestors and Johnson himself. One masked demonstrator characterized the clash as “two sides trying to be heard,” claiming some from the church side expressed “hatred” despite saying they “love us.”
In his remarks, Johnson pulled no punches, labeling the alleged attackers as “petulant children” and “grievance mongers” supported by Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell. According to Johnson, the mayor even suggested the church's protest at city hall was racially motivated—“because you’re opposed to the idea that I’m biracial,” a comment that puzzled even Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
Johnson’s group responded with hymns and worship songs outside city hall. He also said some of the participants included individuals who had detransitioned and were speaking out about their experiences in the transgender community. Johnson concluded that Christians “are not welcome in Seattle” and accused some protestors of performing lewd acts in front of children.
No arrests or formal investigations were mentioned in the report. As of now, these allegations have not been independently confirmed by law enforcement or third-party organizations.
