Urine Trouble on Frontier: Passenger Claims Backpack Soaked by Pee Mid-Flight

June 16, 2025 — by Urine the News Staff

If you thought your last flight was rough, wait until you hear what one Frontier Airlines passenger endured. A woman flying from Seattle to Dallas claims her backpack was soaked in urine after being stored under the seat in front of her—possibly the result of another passenger relieving themselves mid-flight.

The incident, which took place on June 9, 2025, aboard Flight F94077, was first reported on Reddit and later covered by TMZ and One Mile at a Time. The woman only realized the issue when retrieving her bag after landing. Upon trying to dry it off in the lavatory, the paper towels turned yellow—suggesting, in her words, that she was “99% sure” it was urine.

“Literally Carrying Around Pee Soaked Paper Towels”

She reportedly attempted to file a complaint immediately after landing, but was bounced between the gate, the ticket counter, and an indifferent management team. According to her sibling’s Reddit post, she carried around the urine-soaked paper towels trying to find someone who would take her seriously.

Eventually, a supervisor told her that the general manager would need to be contacted, since "nothing like this has happened before." But even then, the final word was this: Frontier couldn’t help. She was advised to “settle it with the other passenger”—who, of course, had already deplaned and vanished into the terminal.

Frontier’s Policy? Not Our Problem

In its Contract of Carriage, Frontier explicitly disclaims responsibility for damage to carry-on items unless the airline or its agents are proven negligent. Unsurprisingly, the burden of proof here is almost impossible to meet.

Adding insult to injury, a purported Frontier flight attendant chimed in on Reddit, noting that unless the liquid involves visible blood, it’s not considered a biohazard. Cleaning, according to this employee, is often as minimal as a quick wipe-down with paper towels—biohazard or not.

Urine Luck: What Can Travelers Learn?

This raises real questions about airline cleanliness and passenger protection. With carry-on bags placed under the seat ahead, and staff allegedly unable or unwilling to address biohazards, travelers are left exposed—literally.

While the story is both hilarious and horrifying, it’s also a reminder to pack wisely and perhaps invest in waterproof covers if you’re a frequent flyer. More importantly, it’s a prompt to double-check airline policies—especially if you’re flying ultra-budget.

Bottom Line: A Soaked Backpack, and No Accountability

Whether it was urine, juice, or some other mysterious fluid, this Frontier fiasco highlights a gap in customer protection when it comes to onboard cleanliness and damage. While policies may technically absolve the airline, the lack of accountability and refusal to offer even basic compensation has left a bad taste—if not a bad smell.

As for the unfortunate traveler? Let’s just hope her next flight is on an airline with both a cleaner seat... and a better sense of decency.
